Business Activity for MDG-F
Hi
Is theren any BC set activation required for MDG-F business activity for MDG 6.1?
There is only one Business Activity (CMP1) in configuration now.
For another activites like ACC1-6 and so on is there SAP delivered BC set or need to create it manually against each Change Request Type and logical actions?

How to derive value on Controlling Area on Cost Element or any other entity
Hi Experts,
I want to derive a value of 1000 on the controlling area when we create a cost element. I have tried DERIVE_CELEM but it seems that Controlling area can only trigger Derivation on other fields once it is manually populated.
Any ideas if this could be possible?

CR STEP replication in BRF+ STEP table configuration
Hi,
I have configured step 20 for ZMAT01 with description "QM Validation" however when i try to configure STEP table the step is taking the old description for step 20.
Can you pls provide some input in this regard ?

Is Z BW Query display on MDG screen possible?
Hello Gurus,
Can some confirm if we can ever show an existing Z BW query on MDG?
This Z Query is sitting on local BW system(NOT MDG BW).
I have a requirement to show the revenue/cost details for a given Product User chooses to display on MDG screen. So when User looks into details of a given product, I should be showing an existing BW report on Total Cost to Company as of this Year. We have all these reports sitting on our BW server, we just need to connect MDG to BW system to display the reports.

HANA Search
Hello Everybody,
I am new in HANA and would like to see if you can assist me in some details.
We have completed configuring the HANA Customer Search steps in the MDG system as stated in the below link.

I now see two attributes in the HANA System, one HANA_REUSE and the Other HANA.
My question is, how do I customize this search so users are able to execute this in the MDG system?
There seem to be no documentation available in how to customize this search and how we need to insert/link this search to the user interface.

MDG SLA time for each workflow step
Hi Experts,
As I know MDG calculates and report the SLA times for an entire process, It will show as violated if the number of days/half day is exceeded since the creation, but it does not show in which step took more time to process.
My requirement is to have SLA control in each step of a workflow. Please check the following example:
Material creation that has 2 approval steps since it submission.
Example: Submission (Requestor) -> Approval 1 (Business Area) -> Approval 2 (Master Data Specialist) -> Activation / Replication
I need to know through a report how much time the Approval 1 took to process the Change request, How much time Approval 2 took to process the Change Request based on the priority set by the requestor.
With this report the responsible from the Master Data department can check the time spent by the processors for each step of the process.
Does anyone had a similiar requirement?
What is the best approach to achieve this? Through standard SLA queries it is possible to have more information? Or only having an enhancement?

MDG-S specific UIBB

As per SAP help
Show specific UIBBs for the UI-configuration BS_OVP_BP_ALL
- Run transaction SE80, select the package MDG_BS_BP_BOLUI and choose
- .
- Double-click BS_OVP_BP_ALL and choose Test/Execute.
- On the Search Business Partner screen, choose (Customize Page).
- Mark Main Page BS_BP_OVP.= ?
- On the Overview Page Schema tab, choose (Expand Node) in front of Section: BP_SECTION to open the UIBB structure.=?
- Mark UIBB: Relationship BS_BP_RELATIONS.=?
- In the Hidden Element field in the Attributes of UIBB section select Visible and choose Save.=?
Able to perform only first 4 steps, can any one explain from step 5 with the help of screen shot or send me any link where is it readily available.

Replication of Hierarchy & Groups of MDG-F Objects
Hi,
I have few questions on replication of Hirarchies & groups:
- I want to replicate Group & Hierarchy ( PCTR & CCTR ). I have done the setup for PCTR & CCTR which is replicating successfully.I have introduced the IDOC of PCTRG in DRFIMG setup with message type COGRP6. But my replication is not happening.What is the missing link?
2. I am creating PCTR via single processing & then release of Edition is replicating the PCTR. However, i am the using the collective Processing for creating PCTRG & PCTRH along with the assignment of PCTR to it. But still my replication is not happening for PCTRG. This is the process that I am following.Is this the correct approach or I should go for addition of Custom Profit Center Group attribute right from the Data Modelling- UI Config -SMT Mapping?
3. What is the Idoc for Hierarchy which I can configure?
4. Can We replicate Hierarchy through IDOC?If Yes then How? If not then what is the alternative way to do it?
I would really appreciate you if you could provide me an answer or a hint.

Why Costing Sheet (overhead rates) is not available in MDG-F cost center change request?
There is an important field "Costing Sheet" (a.k.a. overhead rates) in ECC cost center master. it is used in cost allocation in CO. but this field is not available in MDG-F cost center change request screen. Who can tell why this field is omitted?

MDG_S workflow
Hi
As even after matainance of IMG. acivity (Assign Processor to Change Request Step Number (Simple Workflow)), change request is saved but it is not triggering any workflow . All workflow pre -requsites are already dome. Workflow is working for MDG-F on same instance.
Is below customization is mandetory for MDG_S?

Integration between MDG and BRF+
Can any one tell me how the MDG and BRF+ gets integrated. How MDG can identify which Application, Function, Rule Set etc to execute at various steps in the CR or Actions or Mass Upload etc.
I was thinking service name, but I was not sure.

Error handling for file upload
HI Experts,
I have a question on file upload process in sap MDG-S.
Scenario : Upload the content from a CSV file using the file upload prcoess.
Query : For example if there are 5 records in the file and if there is an error in 3rd record what happens to the rest of the records i.e. 1,2 and 3,4.
a) Will record 1 and record 2 get posted and record 3,4 will be failed?
b) All 4 records will not be posted as there is one errored record.

Regd: Active and In-active version data of a CR
Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to compare the active (approved and created) and in-active (yet to be approved) data of an entity in a change request. For this, I have tried cl_usmd_gov_api-> if_usmd_gov_api_cr_data~get_crequest_data, if_usmd_gov_api_entity~query_entity, cl_usmd_model_ext->read_entity_data_all etc.. But all of these are not giving desired results. I need all the changed values which are yet to be approved in one ITAB or structure and all the active data in another.
So would request if any one can share any input on this.

MDG-F 7.0 Edition Next Change, Pending Change, To Edition and Next Changing Edition
See below for screenshot on Edition. I have difficulty understanding the behavior of these fields. Do anyone have a good grip on this? MDG-F 7.0 GL, cost center, profit center change history in ECC
I am working in an MDG-F 7.0 workshop and am primarily working on cost center, profit center and GL account.
I have come to realize that all field attribute changes made to cost center and profit center that are initiated from MDG-F won't be updated in ECC change history tables therefore i loose the ability to look up the change history in ECC but in MDG-F.
However ECC history table is udpated for GL account attribute changes initated from MDG-F.
Do everyone have the same understanding as I do? Please let me know if you see something else.

MDG-F Data Replicate within same client

Let me explain my understanding about data replication.
Data replication with SOA method is used only for replication of data into non sap system.
Data replication with ALE/IDOC method is used only for replication of data into sap system.
Please confirm above basic understanding.
My scenario is as per below
- In SALE we defined LEOCLNT300 : Logical Systm for MDG HUB/LEO_300 : Logical System for MDG Target Client)

But when we execute DRFOUT it only shows Green signal but no data replicated from MDG tables in to ECC ( We have two active records for GL accounts in MDG database like /1MD/MD______01into ECC Data base like SKA1

MDG-F Replication Timing
I am confused by the parameters (options) used in Edition and Change Request.
During Edition creation, there are three options we can pick and use to control as to when we want replication to occur.
option 1 - Manaully started after release of Edition
option 2 - On final approval of change request.
option 3 - Selected in each change request
However, during Change Request creation, it has only two option 1 and 2. Option 3 is not included there.
Then my question is - What option MDG-F will really go if I choose option 2 in Edition and choose option 1 in Change Request?
Would there be any document that shows the difference across these 3 options and configuration steps of each option?
