Adding new fields to Change Request screen and saving data into custom table

Hi All,

 

I am new to MDG and working on my first requirement which is as below

 

When we create change request, on that screen I need to add two custom fields

I need to update the data entered in these custom fields into a Z table along with some standard fields. The updation needs to happen in create and change mode.

This data has to reflect in LFA1 as well.

BP_VENGEN is the entity.

 

Can anyone please guide me with steps/links to achieve this functionality - how to add fields.

Also where do I write the code for saving data into my z table. Any sample code too would be appreciated.

MDG ERP Customer UI / ERP Vendor UI

Hi Experts,

 

I have a requirement based on the MDG implementation strategy for a specific customer in order to use the ERP Customer and ERP Vendor UI.

Based on Customer and Vendor config guides I have imported only the ERP UIs as a alternative to Customer/Vendor UIs, after importing and trying to understand the model I got some questions:

 

1) After importing the specific change requests types for ERP UIs is there any additional step must be done?

 

2) If all configuration is done what are the steps to create a request based on ERP UI? Is there any search screen based on Vendor ERP UI?

 

3) Would be possible to create a link at MDG landing page (TC: LPD_CUT) for example to create a customer based on ERP UI without specifying if it is a Person, organization or group selected in the Supplier/Customer search screen?

 

4) Do I also need to import the Supplier UI or Customer UI to be able to work with the ERP UIs for Customer and Vendor?

 

I tried to find more info regarding the ERP UI but I cannot find so much information so far.

Hi Guru's,

 

I am new to MDG process and i had a basic idea at about MDG-F process(System Testing level). Now i got below consultant assignments

 

1. Requestor has option to enter reference master data in user interface

2. "Testing required" information field required at User interface level (For Information Purpose) ony.\

 

I am working on MDG ECC6.0 EHP 5 Version and please can anyone provide any detailed suggestions on above requirements that would great helpful to me.

Material UI partially disabled

Hi experts, We are facing a similar crisis but in case of standard SAP Data Model for Material Master MM. Here while creating a new material via MAT01 change request, we are not able to edit or enter any data other than Basic Data, Decription, Dimensions, GTIN/EAN, Classification. All other views like Plant Views, Purchasing views, Sales, Valuations, Distribution, are present on the screen but are disabled for user entry. Web Dynpro Applicat - MDG_BS_MAT_OVP, Config ID - BS_MAT_OVP_03 We are using MDG_FND Release 747 SP03, and MDG_APPL Release 617 SP03. We have not customized any UI or created any custom UI. Please suggest some solution.

Derivation Rule

Hi Everyone,

 

when  I  try to create a Derivation rule with name DERIVE_CCTR,  I am getting the error as 'DERIVE_CCTR' had already been used. But I had already deleted the derivation rule which I had created earlier.I had also tried to delete the derivation using the Program “FDT_DELETE”(Overriding the Authorization issue), even then the Derivation rule is not removed from the system.

Any inputs on the same can be helpful.

Send mail after successful posting of data at ecc

Hello experts,

 

We have a requirement where in we have to send out mail to defined recipients once data is successfully posted at ECC using inbound proxy via PI.

Any pointers regarding this will be appreciated.

Can the duplicate check work for MATERIAL CREATE when we create with existing Material reference.

I am new to SAP MDG area, Can any one suggest or share step to step sap mdg learners guide. It is very important to me to update knowledge in this area. I've checked to so many documents in google search - but i failed to understand process configuration in required order. So, can anyone help me on this any end to end guide for SAP MDG. If it is materials, financials anything is fine.

Possibility of Enhacment for Classification UIBB

Is it possible to enhance classification of some custom/existing fields in below screen?

After selection of this UIBB also configure UIBB not becomes active? Any releation with Window Name=W_root or other reason?

How to see technical field names avialable in Classification UIBB?

MDG 7 SP02 - Finance UIBB's collapsed

HI We are implementing MDGF SP02 -  We se lot of Finance UIBB's in Cost / Profit center with Collapsed indicator on in Standard content.  I understand the reason was for pefrormance improvement.  We need collapsed indicator off.  Did anyone come across this issue ?

 

Also to do any changes to Standarad UI, we need Access key.  Just wondering if there is any note ? I did not find any.  Please let me know

Hello All.


I have been constantly reading about the mentioned content,


SAP MDG user interfaces from one single place. A dedicated WebDynpro application is provided to manage all user interface configurations.


You can also copy a standard SAP user interface configuration to the customer namespace and configure it to your requirements.


Can anyone give more details about the SAP MDG User Interface or share any links which denotes the same in detail.

MDGM Deep copy

Hi,

 

Trying to take a deep copy in MDGM 7.0  and modify the UIBBs because client wants to suppress many fields.( roughly 200) .

After the deep copy  and adding the two links to the Business activities, when I run the below URL,

I do not see the Submit  button.

How to fetch data for the Change Request in PROCESS_EVENT

Hi All,

 

I need to write some custom logic on Save/Submit button. For this I am planning to enhance the PROCESS_EVENT method of class CL_USMD_CR_MASTER. Within this method I need to access runtime data of the change request currently being processed.

 

I am going to create a post-method exit for this PROCESS_EVENT method. Is this correct?

 

I have heard we have APIs in MDG which can be used to fetch data, however I do not know how to use the same.

 

Can someone please help me with sample code how to fetch the runtime data of the Change Request

Classification and Plant partner Functions for MDGS

Hi

 

Can it possible to use vendor classification (Unable to find any entity type in data model BP or not even any UIBB on Main page) and plant partner function for vendor?

I am not sure how to actiate Addtional Purchasing Data UIBB and Is it related to plant parter functions?
