I am using MDG-Hub deployment and for initial load for MDG-S(Vendors) I created IDOCs through MDM_CLNT_EXTR from target ECC client.
It seems that idocs are created with message type CREMDM04 and contains segments for LFB1 and LFM1 also.
But these segment values are not mapped into MDG UI (BS_OVP_SP_VL). but for segment LFA1 it is mapped correctly.
Is there any is reason one segment is mapped correctly (LFA1) not mapped correctly (LFB1 and LFM1)?
Hello All,
When there are multiple CRs for a Material, all these changes are nicely captured in the Change Documents.
However, when we open an older CR, it doesn't display the values of the original CR instead it displays the current active data.
For example if a material is created with Dangerous Goods Indicator 001, then another CR change it to 002, when we display the original CR it displays 002, whereas users expect to see 001.
Is there any way to display the original CR with values as it was processed?

I have a scenario in which i am trying to update a field automatically using BRF+ the problem I am facing is that I have created a Rule based workflow in which i have 5 steps and my auto functionality is working on first change request step only i.e 00 (Processing)
if in BRF+ i give any other change request step like 90 or 95 auto functionality doesn't work
For eg i want to change Sales status on change request step 95 for a customized change request using BRF+ it doesnt work but if i change it on initial step 00 it works, it looks little strange to me

I am creating GL Account and adding Company Code data in the CR.
Upon approval of CR data should be replicated to ECC using DRF.
However GL Account data IDoc GLMAST not generating upon final approval of CR.
But when I am Creating CR without Company Code data, IDoc getting generated after final approval of CR.
Workflow template used "WS60800086".
Edition replication timing selected as "On Final Approval of Change Request"
I am on MDG 7.0 SP 07 .Unable to GL account replication with company code and MDG-F Data Replication Issues | SCN
All suggested setting looks good to me

I would like to know how companies handle "maintenance" of their Master Data (Materials in this case).
How do they keep track if (and when) changes have been done for several Materials (specific fields; for example weight, price, cost) without checking the change log in MM03 for each material separately?
Is there a special report to get the "change log information" for several materials?
Or is there another, more time efficient way to keep track of changes done for several materials?
Do you have any suggestions?

Even after assigning a user in Assign processer (under WF-->Other MDG Worflow), I am not getting the requests to approve as approver. At the moment, I only see Current processer as (APPROVER SUPPLIER) & how to change the current approver?

I have a requirement in which I have to decide approval based on sales org during customer creation.
for example
if sales org is 100 the approver will be A1
if sales org is 200 the approver will be A2
please let me know how this is possible in MDG standard workflow for customer

In our scenario we have deployed SAP MDG -C over existing SAP ECC.
Customers are already created in the system but none of them are visible in the ERP Customer Ui in MDG during search.
Has anybody faced similar problem.

Hello Experts,
I have a situation here where we have introduced a Z field into MDG-M Data Model and this field is only specific to MDG. Requestors creating the CR will have to to populate value in this field. This field is visible for the approvers processing the CR, but this field value disappears when CR is displayed after activating the change request and data from CR is replicated to ECC.
Please advise if any of you faced similar issue and fixed this. Please note this field is not in ECC, it is only specific to MDG.

I had selected Key Assignment for an Entity as "Key Can not be Changed; No internal Key Assignment" as an option initially and now the requirement changed so i need to change Key Assignment to "Key Can be changed; No internal Key Assignment".
During change I am getting an error stating: "Data model XX is already active and entity type XXXXX is contained in the active version. In this case, you may no longer change the type of key assignment for entity type XXXXX."
Does any one came across same error or do you know How can change this to meet my requirement?

We already rechecked that we have assigned all the authorization objects mentioned in the example to users.

I am using MDG Hub deployement with MDG7.0 SP07.
I am trying to upload Material Master Data from target ECC system into source MDG Hub system using ALE and DIF.
I am able to create XML file for generated IDOCs from target system and placed them on application server with message type MATMAS05.
Then with the help of DTIMPORT also able to upload data in XML file in staging area.
But it seems that if we uploaded material data without accounting view then through DIFit is successful. But if we try to upload with accounting view then application log gives error saying that valuation class is required field but it is already in IDOC segment and same goes in XML file also.
We are able to create single material with accounting view in MDG Hub but not able to do initial upload of material with accounting view.
Any reason for this?
