Hi All,
I have created the Custom data model and trying to create the OVP UI . Once I created the UI I am able to see my data model fields on UI and Change request header details But I am not able to see framework buttons i.e Edit, cancel, Check and CR Number is not generating automatically.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

We have created an equipment custom model with just a single attribute in an entity and created a form using the template USMD_OVP_GEN_TEMPLATE. Also made MDG communicator settings mentioned in the Custom object creation guide.
But, upon opening the creation form we do not see any CR related items such as CR UIBB, Submit button.
Can anyone please guide as to what may be missing?

I am working on MDG8 and I would like to know what are reporting capabilities.
I heard about Hana Based Analytics, but it appears a little bit complex reagrding the requirement I have.
Requirements :
- Reporting on change request (Number of change request opened by change request type, ...)
- Reporting on master data (Number of material by material Type, ...)
- Reporting on replication statuses (Number of materials replicated by target ERPs...)
I would like to make them available in NWBC client.
What is your recommendation to cover these requirements ?

We have a situation where out Business Partner number range is not aligned with Customer and Vendor numbers . We definitely have BP integration in place but just because the numbers are not aligned defeats the purpose of BP in the organisation in terms of looking up a customer or Vendor .
Is there a recommended SAP practice to realign BP with customer and vendor master numbers . This will help us doing quick search which is causing more time as we need to search via ECC . We are MDG deployment on top of ECC and on 6.1 version today.

mit customer has a ERP (ECC 6.0) and will implement now SAP Master Data Governance.
I understand that the MDG System will be installed in the same box like ERP.
My limited understanding of MDG is that MDG checks data that key user create or modify according to defined rules and that a workflow will be triggered and the creation/modification has to be released by another user before it will be stored in the productive system. So during creation/modification release process the data is in a kind of MDG-staging area and after approval/release it will be stored in the productive environment.
Is my understanding correct?
Furthermore I would like to know if there is a initial download or a data Migration required from the productive System to the MDG staging area.
Because MDG-environment will be empty after implementation and the ERP productive system that has to be checked by MDG is full of master data as it runs since many years.
I would really appreciate if someone could explain me the big picture.

HI, I'm hoping that someone can help me out, or maybe give me some options. The challenge is to allow the user to search in the list of values of a characteristic. In this situation there could be up to 4500 values and to scroll down to find it is not a great option. I see a filter option when I invoke the drop down , but when pressed, it only toggles from filter to Delete filter and no change in the list is seen.
We are using MDG V 8.0
If someone has some experience with the filter or options that may be plausible, I am very interested in hearing about it. I'm hoping not to do a bunch of code, but if there is some simple development that will help, I'm open to that.

I understand we need to install TREX to search objects in MDG, but in our Training System we do not have a TREX Instances.
Is there a way we make this search capability work any other way, without TREX?

I have configured a custom model with USMD_OVP_GEN, setup the links as below
Data Modelling
BO Type - Data Model - Entity Type - set as Root
Also
Entity Type to Be Used by Business Object Type
UI Modelling
USMD_OTC - BO Type
Process Modelling
CR - Data MODEL- Entity type - Business Activity
When I try to create a CR through NWBC,
URL - http://server:<port>/nwbc/?sap-nwbc-node=app_window_body
My model is selected, then I can enter the Key fields, when I click Continue Button
I get error -
Cannot determine a UI configuration
Message description says - Maintain UI Configuration ID in either User Master Record or in Change Request
On debugging found that at both these places, code is searching for Application type USMD_VALUE_ENTITY2 but I am using USMD_OVP_GEN,
hence certainly I am using a wrong application to create CR for UI type USMD_OVP_GEN
Then what is the correct one?

Hi Experts,
I´m creating a new change request for a new custom data model an I´m facing some problems/doubts.
So, basically I have created my data model, my new UIBB based on USMD_OVP_GEN and my change request and I think that could be something missing because when I start the application USMD_CREQUEST_CREATE to create a new CR I´m not getting my new UIBB screen that I was expecting in step 3 ( change data).
The application is just selecting the entities that I want to change but is not calling the custom screen to submit the changes.
Calling directly the new configuration the CR is working fine
Please find the screens with the steps in the attached file.
Could be any customization missing?

Migrating from SAP.NW.MDM to SAP MDG 8.0. Currently MDM has Golden Reference Master Data for Materials/BP maintained.
Kindly advice on the Best Practices/Methods to Create->Maintain Reference Master Data in SAP MDG 8.0 and subsequently sync with SAP and Non-SAP systems. Is there any standard solution reference from SAP available. Any software components are to be activated in MDG.
I think, the advise will help for migrating organizations from MDM to MDG.

We are experiencing an issue in the MDG portal when a user is trying to amend an existing customer details.
When they submit the changes, they get the following errors:
BP role xxs already exists for partner
Business Partner with GUID nnnn already exists
Business Partner xxxx already exists
Grouping ZC01 has internal number assignments, do not enter a number
Tax category for country xxxx already exists
Sales area already exists
Company code already exists
Customer already exists
We can see that the changes aren't reflected in the back end ECC system.
We've checked and made changes manually in the back end system via transaction XD02 and this works fine; we can then also see these changes reflected in MDG.
Does anyone know what the issue could be? This is MDG_APPL 607 in ECC (MDG 6.1 I believe). This issue is only occurring after a recently SPS upgrade (to SP13).

Hello All,
Need help on Vendor Data Replication, We are creating Vendors in MDG for a entity (Ex AUS) and need to replicate Vendor data from MDG system (Hub) to Operational ERP (ECC) system.
Vendors for other entities (China & Argentina) are created in ECC system as of now and shall be done via MDG in later stage.
So while replicating Vendors from MDG to ECC (for Aus entity) how is key mapping done as Number ranges set based on Account Group and are generic, all entities use same number ranges intervals in ECC.
How to do key mapping for vendors between MDG & ECC.

1. How to load the reference data ( like material group,transportation group etc) from ECC client to MDG ? . What are the options?
2. How to load the initial load master data from ECC to MDG hub . I guess it is done through the File upload option . Does it cover all the master data like customers,vendors and materials. Please advice.
