Error during Job_DM_Lookups_Initialise Job: cannot open file LOOKUPS.CSV

Hi all,

 

I have a Problem during implementation of the RDS.

 

After installing the datastores and assignement to SQL databases I want to execute the Job_DM_LOOKUPS_INITIALISE .

 

Unfortunately I get the error "Cannot open file <C:/Migration/LOOKUPS.CSV>, check its path and permission
I tried for some hours..checked that the file is really existing (it apparently contains a list of 528 customizing table names, that have to be imported from SAP target system). I tried a modification of the path using 1 slash and 2 slash, storing the file in another folder and change the path to this other folder...
always same error message.
On the other hand I checked the database table linked in SQL and after the execution some 50 tables habe been created:
dbo.LOOKUP_CHK_ERROR_SAPTOFILE
dbo.LOOKUP_CHK_TAB_ERROR
dbo.LOOKUP_CHK_TXT_DATA_RFC
etc...
Has anyone an idea where the problem lies?

Migration or Integration between SAP IDM and SAP MDG

Hello Everyone,

 

We are working on a requirement where SAP IDM is already been used by business team for users/roles management, Now as a part of SAP MDG solution either want to have a integration between SAP MDG and SAP IDM or need to migrate all the user roles from SAP IDM to MDG.

There are very limited details available for SAP IDM and SAP MDG integration. Any pointers to the scenario will be appreciated.

The feasibility to use existing MDG 7.0 System to integrate with S/4 HANA 1511

Hello Experts,

 

we have requirement to Integrate existing MDG 7.0 system with S/4 HANA 1511.


1) Is it feasible with MDG 7.0? (I know it is feasible with MDG 8.0 )


2) If it is feasible then what are advantages and disadvantages of S/4 HANA with MDG?

MDG 8.0 Custom data model - UI not editable

Hello all,

    We face a similar problem.

I have configured a custom model with  USMD_OVP_GEN,  with following setup

 

Data Modelling

BO Type - Data Model - Entity Type - set as Root

Also

Entity Type to Be Used by Business Object Type

 

UI Modelling

USMD_OTC - BO Type

 

Process Modelling

CR - Data MODEL- Entity type - Business Activity

I have followed all steps mentioned in application help of MDG 8.0 provided by SAP.

The screen appears as below

Initial screen shows edit button as enabled but on click of Edit button the above screen in read-only mode shows up (non editable) .

1.  Is it something to do with action on edit button ?

2.   I have only configured usmd_ovp_gen component. Do i also need to create component config for mdgf_ovp_gen in order to display CR UIBB on the same screen?

 

Those who are able to get the screen editable, please provide clues to resolve.

Unblock customer unable to find button

Hi,

 

I am able to block the customer by searching customer and selecting it then clicking 'block'. But , if i want to unblock then i dont find unblock button in the results ie., selecting customer in results.

 

Please let me know if i am missing some thing?

SAP MDGF 8.0 co-deployed Data replication

Hi,

 

Can i know the steps to replicate the G/L account data from MDG generated tables to Actual FI G/L account table.

 

 

we are in co-deployment and MDG 8.0.

 

 

Is it possible with DRF using ALE/IDOC with sender and receiver system as same?or is there any other way?

Enterprise search: search object connector MDG_APPL not found

Dear All,

 

Not able to search data using Enterprise search.

 

This is the first time we using enterprise search on our MDG System.

1. TREX Search engine is installed at my system by the help of basic team.So on search Material screen on F4 help on material I got got all the material available from Active tables.

 

While entering simple material number and clicked on search button. The result list doesn't display anything showing error : Search object connector MDG_APPL not found. Then I create a connector for this on traction ESH_COCKPIT.

 

2. While Creating a connector for sofware componenet MDG_APPL. I have ended with following errors status ."Error while preparing"

MDG Configuration Data Import into Target System Error

Hi,

 

I am configuring Master Data Governance for Material. While performing Data import into target system step in Set up Data Transfer I have followed all the steps as in the screenshot attached and defined the logical path in FILE transaction and also defined file source and archive directories.

 

But as per step 6 its given that make sure that the IDoc-XML files are stored under the logical path and that there are no other files stored in that directory. There is the physical path that i have assigned to logical path available in transaction AL11 but on double clicking that path to view IDoc-XML files, along with the IDoc-XML files other files are also present. Please guide me the solution. I am attaching the screenshot of the files present in that path.

500 SAP Internal Server Error

Hello Experts,

 

I am using MDG release 748 and created a custom data model and a custom ui (copied usmd_entity_value2) and followed necessary steps for bus.activity, change request..etc.

Did not get any errors while activating data model or ui. However, I get 500 internal server error when opening my custom application from the nwbc menu. It looks like the custom ui is somehow not linked to the data model. But I did enter the data model in ui configuration.

What are the debugging steps I can perform to find the issue?

Vendor field selection

Hi,

 

I have a requirement for Vendor in which based on account group value, fields have to be made required, display, hidden, optional and these fields settings are different for different roles in workflow (three step - requester, data steward, approver).

 

I have done the ECC vendor field selection settings in OMSG.

 

What are the other options to achieve this. I am aware of CBA and authorization settings at role level but not sure if this can be achieved using them.

 

Please advise if you have implemented similar solution.

MDG-F BC Set Issue

Hi Amazing people,

 

Hope you all are doing wonderful... Need your help as I always do

 

Here we go...

 

So I am using MDG 7..

And I want to import the standard setting of Finance of CR and edition..

So as expected, I am suppose to activate BC set

 

1. For Edition CA-MDG-APP-FIN_EDITION_05

2. For CR CA-MDG-APP-FIN_CR_TYPES_05

But activating both theses BC results in warning..

Since the system was updated from MDG 6.0 to MDG 7.0, I guesses SAP notes must be implemented..

 

I came across two notes. with regards to this BC sets

1. 1908432 , 2003344 - For MDG 7


Both notes are in "Cannot be implemented" status.

 

They have provided me some excel sheets in the SAP Note..

Should I upload it somewhere?

 

Also please note I have DM OG and OF..But I am unable to delete OF even if I run the USMD_DELETE_REPORT program?

Since both DM are present, SAP suggest me to delete OF and work with OG..

 

What can be done further? Let me know.. Thanks

Undo MDG-F DELETED OF Data Model

Hi People,

 

As per a document here, I deleted OF DM, so that the new Data Model OG would be used well..

 

Deleting Data Model 0F - Master Data Governance for Financials - SAP Library

 

Now I get an error that no active version of OG exists.. Is there a way to undo deletion of OF or how to make OG usable?

 

OG is activated, but does not display in SA38-> USMD_DATA_MODEL report..

Says no active version of OG exists here.. Is there we can do to undo the deletion of OF so that OG works well??

Configuring SOA manager for MDG for Material Issue

Hi,

 

I am configuring SOA Manager for MDG - Material. During the step of configuring the system for point-to-point communication using service groups in the MDG hub system, I am facing some problem. As in steps given, there is no Business Scenario Configuration settings available under the tab Service Administration. So please let me know what may be the problem where I may have went wrong. I am attaching the SOA Management Screenshot.

Hi,

 

My client has requirement to default confirmation control key to a fixed value when vendor belonging to specific purchase organisation and specific account group is to be created. We are trying to utilise BADI, but two values purchase organisation and account group belong to different entity in MDG-S. Any solution on how to proceed on this.

MDGM parallel workflow service_name error

I created a simple parallel workflow based on BRF+.  I get a 'synchronous method error' – 'badi not implemented for service name service_name.  I implemented a BADI implementation in usmd_ssw_para_result_handler with the filter name that was placed in the 'service' table.  Very perplexed.  It is probably simple but I have spent days trying to find the answer to this.  Can anyone help?

Regarding Email Communication Link Notes in EhP6

Hi All,

 

I would like to add Notes field into the EMAIL tray in EhP6. I have extended the Data Model BP for the Entity type AD_EMAIL with the notes field. When I am trying to extend the Target structure it is displaying a message the structure cannot be Enhanced. So please let me know the procedure how can I add the Email Notes field to the UI.

Issue with 'Remarks' fields in MDG Supplier UI

Hello,

 

I want to add Remarks/Notes fields on MDG UI for supplier.

 

Remarks/Notes fields are available for Communication data like E-Mail, Fax, Telephone, etc and also for Address data. Please see screenshot to find these fields in XK01.

I do not find these fields in MDG Data Model. But when I check in UIBB configuration I am able to add these attributes on UI. I added two attributes - 'Notes for E-Mail' and 'Notes for Fax'.

 

The problem comes while testing. When I open a new change request for supplier creation, fill all the required attributes, then, when I fill values in these two attributes and click on check or submit button, both becomes automatically blank. So I am unable to fill values in these two attributes.

 

Please let me know what is the reason for such behaviour ?
