MDG-F 7.0 UI screen difference in look and feel
Hello MDG experts,
I am getting below screen for GL account creation. This screen looks more tradional screen.
However in other MDG client we have seen same menu (MDG_ACC_MENU_04) has different look. Screenshot below.
Is this driven by any setting in User profile?
I have below settings.
Parameter tab: FPM_CONFIG_EXPERT = A
in Personalization tab: I have inserted
Object key R_FMDM_MODEL with Data Model 0G and UI configuration = MDG_0G_FINANCIALS.
We would like to change screen look and feel like 2nd screenshot which has more sofisticated look.
Kindly let us know where and how can we change it.

MDG-F Index Icon
Hello,
From an SAP issued MDG-F 7.0 Ramp Up document, I find out that there is a Index icon appearing on the upper left corner of screen which seems to allow end user to quickly jump back into the MDG-F main selection screen while end user is in the middle of something. Below please see the screenshot to where this Index icon is pointed.
Currently I first call up T code NWBC in an ECC client and it then takes me to MDG-F main selection screen. However if I decided to come out, I am then forced to get back in ECC and to get back in MDG-F main selection screen, i have to call transaction NWBC again.
I want to see this Index icon appearing on my screen. How can I make it?

MDG Supplier/Customer Search distinction
Dear MDG gurus,
I've implemented both, the Lean Vendor UI and the ERP Customer UI.
Now I can freely create Vendors and Customers in the system. As you know, they both originate from the Business Partner.
When I get to the search screen to any of them, the search is performed by the Business Partner, which is fine but the result contains both entities - Vendor and Customer.
I am able to filter out the Vendors from the search results (based on role or number ranges) and the same I can do to filter out the Customers when I need to do so from the Vendor Search screen.
My problem is though, that if the users don't filter out the Vendors from the Customer Search screen for example, they can go in through the Customer UI and initiate a Customer Change Request for the Vendors.
Please let me know if there is a way to force the Search to be done based only on one of them (the Vendors or the Customers), and not the based on the Business Partners. I need users to always see only the results for one of them based on the Search screen.
Another approach would be to prevent the users from opening the Vendors and Vendor CRs from the Customer Search screen and vice versa.
I'll be looking forward for your advise..

Transporting Rules to MDG?

There are 3-4 SAP ECC instances where I need to fetch the records.
I also would like to reuse the rules used in those instances.
How can I transport/move those rules into MDG environment

MDG-F - Replication model for Cost Center Group
Hello
We are trying to create IDOC replication model for Cost center group IDOC_COSTG for data model 0G (MDG 7.0).
When trying to assign "Outbound Parameter" = SEND_DELTA_INFO against outbound implementation 1112, we are getting error message saying : "Entry 1112 SEND_DELTA_INFO does not exist in DRFC_PARO (check table)".
While checking table DRFC_PARO via SE16, it shows all the entries for 1012 (GL mast), 1102 (cost center) but it is missing entry for 1112 (cost center group).
What are we missing? How to generate entry in this check table DRFC_PARO? which step is creating this entry?

Creation of Intercompany Vendors and Customers in SAP MDG
Hi MDG experts
Is it possible to create Intercompany Vendors and Customers via MDG ? In other words, when creating a Vendor record, it must also be created as a Customer and vice versa. In the SAP ECC system, the Account Control section has a field to store the Customer / Vendor ID. Thus creating them as Intercompany Vendor / Customer.
How can this be achieved ?
Please advice.

Replication of Hierarchy & Groups of MDG-F Objects
Hi,
I have few questions on replication of Hirarchies & groups:
- I want to replicate Group & Hierarchy ( PCTR & CCTR ). I have done the setup for PCTR & CCTR which is replicating successfully.I have introduced the IDOC of PCTRG in DRFIMG setup with message type COGRP6. But my replication is not happening.What is the missing link?
2. I am creating PCTR via single processing & then release of Edition is replicating the PCTR. However, i am the using the collective Processing for creating PCTRG & PCTRH along with the assignment of PCTR to it. But still my replication is not happening for PCTRG. This is the process that I am following.Is this the correct approach or I should go for addition of Custom Profit Center Group attribute right from the Data Modelling- UI Config -SMT Mapping?
3. What is the Idoc for Hierarchy which I can configure?
4. Can We replicate Hierarchy through IDOC?If Yes then How? If not then what is the alternative way to do it?
I would really appreciate you if you could provide me an answer or a hint.

Vendor like UI in MDG-S
Hi
All CR types and business activities are imported for vendor like UI . We deleted all Supplier UI CR Type as well as business activites.
Run transaction NWBC, enter the role SAP_MDGS_MENU_03 and choose Start NetWeaver Business Client for HTML.
- Choose Search Vendor.
- Choose (Customize Page).
Then I perform all below steps suggested in SAP help in SE80 only
- Mark Main Page BS_BP_OVP.
- On the Overview Page Schema tab, click on Section: BP_SECTION to open the UIBB structure.
- Mark UIBB: ERP Vendor: Sub-Ranges BS_SP_SUBRANGES.
- In the Hidden Element field in the Attributes of UIBB section select Visible and choose Save.
- Repeat the procedure as of step 4 using the following values:
- Edit Page BS_SP_COMPANY_CODE
- UIBB: ERP Vendor Company Code: Withholding Tax BS_SP_COMPANY_CODE_WITHHOLDING
- UIBB: ERP Vendor Company Code: Dunning Areas BS_SP_DUNNING_AREAS
- Edit Page BS_SP_PURCH_ORG
- UIBB: ERP Vendor Purchasing Organization: Different Purchasing Data BS_SP_PURCH2_ORGS
- UIBB: ERP Vendor Purchasing Organization: Partner Functions BS_SP_FUNCTIONS
- Edit Page BS_SP_COMPANY_CODE
- As a final step on the Search Vendor screen choose (Personalize) and on the Personalize dialog box choose Reset to Default.
as Unable to get Search Vendor page as described by SAP hel[p
But still unable to see Search Vendor screen( BS_OVP_SP_VL) by executing NWBC.
Able to see only search supplier screen (BS_OVP_BP_ALL) followed by new supplier creation screen

Governing Company (Config object - Table T880) in MDG
Hi,
Can you please help with some insight on how SAP MDG offers governing process for Company (T880) in MDG 7.0
Here are few questions.
a. Should we use single processing of Entity option or is there a standard sap delivered Change request type ?
b. Since is configuration item, will the change request when approved creates any transport in target ? or is this handled as master data item ? Incase it crates a transport number, then will the replication model be pointed to development business system ?
c. I do not have access to MDG system yet so haven't looked at the outbound implementation mechanism, what is the interface approach - idoc / flat flie or function module ?

BRF+ derivation rule is not working on UI

I have created a BRF+ derivation rule, the rule is working in BRF enginee ( i tested throught simulation) however the value doesn't appear on UI when I perform create material CR.

CR STEP replication in BRF+ STEP table configuration

MDG_S workflow
Hi
As even after matainance of IMG. acivity (Assign Processor to Change Request Step Number (Simple Workflow)), change request is saved but it is not triggering any workflow . All workflow pre -requsites are already dome. Workflow is working for MDG-F on same instance.
Is below customization is mandetory for MDG_S?

We have already built Data Model. I was told MDG 6.1 and 7.0 SP02 will be different.

File Upload Action Button are not working
Hi ,
In the File Upload Process when the processor are open change request there are Action Buttons Approve/Reject ,
When the CR Processor are Click on either Approve or Reject these two Action Button are not working (means its not show any activity) , while rest of all action button like save,close check , Run validation are working ...
While Processor has authorization to Approve/Reject that CR ...

Data Modeler for MDG
Hi Team,
Is there any Data modeler available in SAP MDG where I can go an perform data modelling activities(Like Erwin). I'm looking for a tool to build a logical data model.
I can see a Visualize Data modeler in MDGIMG where I can view the data model rather than able to work on it. Also feel it is a webdynpro application and I assume it can only act as a view only and not editable.
Any pointers would be helpful.

Mass Change Customer 7.0
How can I Can I expand the list of "Changeable Attributes' for the Customer Master?
all I see is a very short list of Attributes. I need the change fields in the Sales Area and Company Code Entity.

MDG-F 7.0 future planned data replication
Hello,
From what I have learned, valid from date in Edition can be used to control of timing of the data replication. In my data prototype in MDG-F 7.0, it is clear that GL change request will go with that. In other words, if the valid from date =August 1, 2014 (today=07/15/2014), GL change request won't come into ECC until August 1 2014 is arrived. it is behaved this way regardless of the choise of replication timing I have made.
Will the same behavior occur to cost center change request and profit center change request?
