Editions posted in MDGF with future date

Hi Experts,

 

I have a question, if we replicate immediately with an edition valid only from a future date , example 1 August 2014 for a new object on final approval, does this mean the object can end up in ECC but will only be usable from the future date specified in the edition.

 

I have noted that the validity from is the same data as the start of the edition for new objects.

 

The object, example new profit center will end up in the ECC system but will only become valid in ECC on the valid from date from the edition.

 

If this is true, would it be valid for all objects created with an edition like Cost Center, Cost Center Hierarchy etch?

 

Secondly if we perform a change with an edition in the future for existing objects and replicate the change to ECC with the future edition on final approval of change request, does the change only become valid on the specified future date of the edition in ECC.

No Edition available in MDG NWBC UI screen

Hi,

I am configuring the MDG FI. i have done the required configurations but I am not able to see the Edition in F4 help while creating a Change Request.

 

Please can someone tell me if I am missing something

I have activated the Business Funtions and BC set, I assume that these editions should have been in MDG UI

SAP MDGF Cost Center Structure in ERP

Hi

 

I created and replicated CC through MDG through Single Processing.
When displayed in ERP in KS03, it seems that Standard Hierarchy area automatically assigned to CC which is created in MDG for selected controlling area

(IN ECC, controlling area assigned to Standard Hierarchy area during configuration)

 

When we see Coct Center Structure for above automatically selected Standard Cost Center Hierarchy area in KSH3 ,we unable to find created CC in below nodes? Should I missed any step here?

Single Processing for CCTR entity type

Hi

 

I want to create cost center using single processing .

Steps followed for this as below

 

  1. Create Blank CR with CR Type OG_S003 (With Entity Type CCTR) with deselected single processing check box under  Create Change Request link. CR is created for entity type CCTR and CR Type as OG_S003.
  2. Try to create cost center under Single processing by selecting Entity Type Cost Center,Proper Edition,Controlling Area and Cost Center value to be created it fives me error as no change request assigned to you.

Here my question is there is already CR for cost center then why SAP gives me error?

 

  1. When I  try to create Blank CR with CR Type OG_W003 (With Entity Type CCTR) with selected single processing check box under Create Change Request link.it gives me error at step no 3 ' 500 SAP Internal Error'

Is I am missing something?

 

I can able to create CC with same CR created as mentioned in point no 1 with cost center group as entity type but not for Cost Center as entity type.

 

Can anybody explain SAP logic behind this?

Data Replication Model DIRECTLY

Hi

 

I am creating CCH with collective processing in MDG and it is activated also.

But in replication from SLG1 log it seems that it will try to use Replication Model DIRECTLY which does not exists at all.

Replication model DIRECTLY is not stored or inactive in customizing

 

Also it tries to use SOA as replication method whereas I defined IDOC as replication method

(Change request 000000000136 uses services for replication: full replication only)

 

Is missing something?

loading reference data and initial data into HUB from client

Hello Experts,

 

I would like to know the options for loading the following data from ECC ( client) to MDG hub system.

 

1. How to load the reference data ( like material group,transportation group etc) from ECC client to MDG ? . What are the options?

 

2. How to load the initial load master data from ECC to MDG hub . I guess it is done through the File upload option . Does it cover all the master data like customers,vendors and materials. Please advice.

MDG C/S - "My Change Request" starts BP search

Hello MDG experts,

 

I am experiencing some problems in the "My Change Request" overview for customer and vendors: (MDG 7.0 SP02)

When I click on Change Request "60" two new tabs open: one tab empty and the other tab starting the BP search:

Normally I should jump to the corresponding change request from the "My Change Request" tab directly.

 

Is this maybe a customizing or configuration issue?

Customer with Contact Person, Contact Person in saved in KNVK

When I create a Customer and select Add new Contact Person. Contact Person data is entered and saved. After process change request and activation, the Customer is in KNA1, but the Contact in NOT in KNVK  Contact Table.

 

Example: Customer 123 is created in the HUB and can be found in KNA1 customer table. When I display the customer record in the HUB, customer 123 is created, when I scroll down I see the contact  is created with number 124, (so the customers and contact is using the same number range. and the Contact 124 is not found in KNVK contact table.  Contacts in not a partner function.  I believe in standard ECC when the customer is created with a Contact. the Contact is saved with a different number range in KNVK..

 

What am I missing in the setup so that Contacts is saved in the table  and is tied to the Customer Master

MDG-F 7.0 profit center field in Create Cost Center screen

Hello -
Once we finished installation of MDG-F 7.0, most reference fields, such as controlling area, functional area, company code are prefilled on Create Cost Center screen. With that, when we create a new change request, the prefilled values can be chosen and used to complete create process. 

However, profit center field does not contain any values that are actually avaialble in ECC. As this is a required field. i have to enter a profit center code. Though i entered an valid profit center code from ECC perspective, it is still erroring out during CR save.

Question - why this profit center pre-filled values are missing... What should I do with this issue?

Movement of RFC Destination required for DRF

We have maintain RFC detination in Data Replication configuration node required for Technical Setting.(Define Technical Settings for Business Systems). My question is how to exclude it from transport request import from dev system to quality sys as for quality we need to maintain Quality system RFC destination in Quality System.

MDG_S workflow

Hi

 

As even after matainance of IMG. acivity (Assign Processor to Change Request Step Number (Simple Workflow)), change request is saved but it is not triggering any workflow . All workflow pre -requsites are already dome. Workflow is working for MDG-F on same instance.

 

Is below customization is mandetory for MDG_S?

In Deletion CR Getting Dump

Hi ,

 

We want to delete some Create Change Request No like - 100 which is not approved yet ..

I am trying to delete with program USMD_DELETE_CREQUEST  there we are getting dump ..

How can  we deleted that particular CR No(100)  and we are able to delete other CR like ( 99,101) which are in queue ...

MDG-F GL Account Change Request Form

There is a field called "Field Status Group"  on GL Change Request screen in MDG-F 7.0. Normally this field is available for users to enter and this field is visible under the heading "Control of Document Creation in Company Code". For some unknown reason, this field "Field Status Group" went missing since yesterday and it is top of my head to figure out what goes wrong. Our team has said that this field is correctly configured in Floor Plan Manager about its visibility on screen and the position on screen. please advise.

Creation of Vendor without Business Partner through MDGS

Hi

 

Can it poosible to create only vendors and not business partners in ECC from MDGS?  I know we can create vendors in MDGS but also creates BP in BUT000 after approval. I want only vendors to be created in LF* tables and no entiry in BP releated tables table..

MDG-F 7.0 Multiple Editions with same valid from date

It appears that we are dis-allowed to create more than two editions with same valid from date in MDG-F 7.0.

 

that tells me that i should be extremely careful of creating an edition with valid from date because once created, I have to group all financial master data change requests effecitve on the same date into this edition. If I am missing one in first place and later on I find one that should be also valid from the same date after Edition is released, there is no way I can catch up by creating another edition with the same valid from date. Correct?

 

Should I create Edition with replication time option 2 - approval of change request then to avoid?

MDG-M Create Material Error (role SAP_MDGM_MENU in NWBC)

Hi, Experts!

 

I have the problem: My CR Creatr (Change) material in NWBC not work after second screen: selected type request=MAT01/MAT02, (see dump the attachment).

I am using EHP6 of MDG6.0 SAP ERP standard definition customazing.

 

the short dump st22:

Runtime Errors               OBJECT_NOT_STRUCTURED

Replication of Hierarchy & Groups of MDG-F Objects

Hi,

 

 

I have few questions on replication of Hirarchies & groups:

 

  1. I want to replicate Group & Hierarchy ( PCTR & CCTR ). I have done the setup for PCTR & CCTR which is replicating successfully.I have introduced the IDOC of PCTRG in DRFIMG setup with message type COGRP6. But my replication is not happening.What is the missing link?

 

   2. I am creating PCTR via single processing & then release of Edition is replicating the PCTR. However, i am the using the collective Processing for              creating PCTRG & PCTRH along with the assignment of PCTR to it. But still my replication is not happening for PCTRG. This is the process that I am        following.Is this the correct approach or I should go for addition of Custom Profit Center Group attribute right from the Data Modelling- UI Config -SMT          Mapping?

 

   3. What is the Idoc for Hierarchy which I can configure?

 

   4. Can We replicate Hierarchy through IDOC?If Yes then How? If not then what is the alternative way to do it?

 

I would really appreciate you if you could provide me an answer or a hint.

MDG-F Data replication for CCH using IDOC

Hi

 

In MDG-F we are able to create and activate CCH and active data in MDG area only.

As data replication shoud immediatlely happen into ECC (as we maintained in Edition) we maintained outbound implimation as 1112 ( Replication through IDOC) and assign to replication  model (In same replication Model we are able to replicate GL account and Cost Center as well)

But for Cost Center Hierarchy it is not working .

 

SLG1 logs says as per below

Here it says CCH uses SOA but we maintained IDOC,Is CCH replication is not possible through IDOC with message type COGRP1.

Secondally we maintained ZG replication model but it says DIRECTLY replication Model . Any Clue?
