Hello Experts,
I am trying to assign Company code to the G/L account, and using the CR type as "OG_W001" and when using the Create Change Request, and assigning the CC to G/L account and trying to submit the CR.
I am getting the below error message:-
"Chart of account\GL account doesn't exist".
Note:- I already created the GL account for that chart of account and able to see the entry in MDG tables.
Can anyone please help.

Hi all,
How to maintain product hierarchies in MDG?
Is there a standard process/approach available to create product hierarchy?
If it is created in MDG, what would be the impact in the UI? Will it show the details in hierarchical manner?
Any thoughts/documents would be helpful.

Is there any option in MDG to download the CR processing time , Like Creation time, approved time and activation time of the CR.
display change request option shows creation and finalized time only.

I am trying to replicate a GL Account. I created a CR for new GL Account through NWBC. I went to Data Replication ( Replication by Objects) and then entered the CoA details and the new GL Account created. Chosen the target system.Clicked on Replicate. It shows the log as successfully processed.
But when I check in ECC for this new G/L, im not finding the respective entry. I also checked T CODE srt_moni. It throws exceptions as
'Account XXXX has not been created in the chart of Accounts 'value' '.

Hi,
I'm new to SAP MDG and tried to add the ERP field LBKUM from table MBEW to the MDG MM entity MBEWACTNG. I got the error message USMD1080.
The currency-supplying or unit-supplying attribute MEINS must be a direct attribute of the entity type MBEWACTNG.
And as procedure I should select the attribute that supplies the currency or unit by calling input help.
The input help only contains the Currency/UoM Table T001 for the Attribute WAERS. How can I add the attribute MEINS?

Hi All,
My requirement is to add a new button Check VAT on the Tax Numbers section toolbar next to Edit/New.
I need to validate each tax number that user enters from a third party system.
Currently I enhanced the configuration id BS_SP_OVP of component FPM_OVP_COMPONENT.
On the toolbar, i right clicked and said add toolbar element.
I gave a new event id CHECK_VAT to this button.
Saved the enhancement
On the change request screen, I can see the button 'Check VAT', however it is disabled and cannot be clicked. If i right click on my new button, I see technical help corresponding to the New button of SAP.
I have even enhanced the IF_FPM_GUIBB_LIST~GET_DEFINITION method of class CL_BS_BP_GUIBB_TAX_NUMBERS to add my custom event id 'CHECK_VAT' in the ET_ACTION_DEFINITION parameter. However when adding the button, I do not see my custom event id in the drop down list that SAP proposes.
Can someone please guide me with the correct steps to add a button and also where to write logic for this button click.
Also how do i read the tax number data row wise when the button is clicked? If cursor on row 1 and my check button is clicked, i need to read data corresponding to this row from the tax numbers table.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I've a new requirement from business. We want to maintain Classification information in MDG but don't want it to be pushed to MM.
Is it feasible to do so - considering Classification info is a Type - 4 entity in MDG and necessary data structures (tables KLAH, KSSK) are not present.
Where exactly it stores the classification information when material masters / requests are created ? I could not follow -
The master data of this storage and use type can be changed in Master Data Governance only with a change request of an entity type with storage and use type 1. The entity type needs to be in a relationship with the relationship type leading and assigned as the To-entity type to an entity type with storage and use type 1. The system generates the check table as described for storage and use type 1, but also generates the entity types that are assigned through qualifying relationships as key fields. The system does not generate a text table, attachments, or sets since entity texts are not allowed for entity types with this storage and use type.

I want create adaptation on Grouping, so I added a new dimension in SM34 in BP_Adapt schema.
Also created adaptation but its not showing changes I made in adaptation on UI after selecting particular value for grouping.
Am I missing any step in between or do I need to follow a different approach.

We try to start a new project which include MDG and HANA.
So, we will deploy MDG as a standalone system on own server. And we have a couple questions. I hope that you can help us, guys:
1. When we deploy MDG on top of an opertional ERP we have 4 configured scenarios (MDG-S, MDG-C, MDG-F, MDG-M). What we have in case of standalone system on own server?
2. By what technology we can connect MDG and databases of ERP or HANA?
3. Maybe, do you know where configuration guide for MDG (as a standalone system) exists?

We have MDG-F in production and use a custom Z implementation of USMD_WF_AGENT BAdI. Enhancement Spot = USMD_WF_AGENT.
We are now activating MDG-C and it is using another implementation of the BAdI (MDG_BS_CUST_WF_AGENT_ERP). The customer implementation came in with a filter. Filter is MDGC_ERP = AGENT_FILTER.
Our problem is that the MDG-F Z implementation does not have a filter and it is getting picked up by default for both MDG-F and MDG-C.
I've been doing some research, but cannot figure out what/where this value would get sent. I wondered if "MDGF_ERP = AGENT_FILTER" would work, but tested and it does not.
We are using "other MDG workflows" for MDG-F.
Can anyone point me in right direction?

I have few questions on replication of Hirarchies & groups:
2. I am creating PCTR via single processing & then release of Edition is replicating the PCTR. However, i am the using the collective Processing for creating PCTRG & PCTRH along with the assignment of PCTR to it. But still my replication is not happening for PCTRG. This is the process that I am following.Is this the correct approach or I should go for addition of Custom Profit Center Group attribute right from the Data Modelling- UI Config -SMT Mapping?
3. What is the Idoc for Hierarchy which I can configure?
4. Can We replicate Hierarchy through IDOC?If Yes then How? If not then what is the alternative way to do it?
I would really appreciate you if you could provide me an answer or a hint.

Hi ,
When we create material using "Create with Template" option. I understand Material general data is copied and only when specific organization level is mentioned in template the corresponding data is copied. Which denotes that not all data from source material is copied to target new material .
But when it comes to classification , by default are the class types and characteristic values copied too ? Is this feature supported in MDG 6.1 Material ?

Please help me out for the below scenario:
I would need to send an email notification when the Data replication is either Success or failure. When the Data replication is success, I would need to send an e mail to one team. when the Data replication is failed, an email to be sent to different team.
Also, if there is a difference in the approaches with SOA or IDOC for Replication, it would be of a great help if you can let me know the difference as well for data replication and as well as Email notifications.

I have written code to create change request and start flow foe one of our scenario. I am successful in doing that.
The problem that I am facing is when I chose the CR in MDG UI, it opens up and on further selection of entity type, I get an error saying that "In this process navigation was not allowed". On displaying help(for the error ), I get 'Single object maintainance was not allowed. Due to this error, I am not able to look at the data.I can see data in inactive table. However, on completion of WF, I can see active data. The only problem here is I cannot see the data on the UI when CR is created. I have experimented with 'Single object' and 'object required' check box in change request type.
I am attaching file for reference.

Hi ,
As mentioned in the SAP delivered document for MDG 7.0 Material config, I have created connector templates MATERIAL & MDG_MATERIAL. Indexing is scheduled successfully and status shows active.
Consistency check for MATERIAL is active, however consistency check for MDG_MATERIAL is in warning and I have all the authorization required (no SU53 errors).
When creating a CR or when searching for Materials, I get the following error - " Search Object Connector MDG_MATERIAL not found'.
Even the report ESH_TEST_SEARCH for MDG_MATERIAL shows warning message.
Please provide any suggestions or pointers to resolve the error.

But i can find it in the Customer Sales Org menu .

I am new in MDG. I have one query on MDG UI configuration i.e,
There was one customized Data Model created by different user (Not me).
I was trying to create one UI modeling respect to that customized Data Model (Created by other user).
While creating New configuration of UIBB, it asking me Access Key for Object Registration. Please find the below screen shot.
My questions is: Is this happening because I am using customized Data Model created by other user to create UIBB configuration or something else?
I tried with the same key which is population under my Username as Access Key for Registration of Object but it’s not working.
