Unable to remove value from attribute "Discontinued Indicator" in MDG

Hello Experts,

 

I have come across an issue while trying to create a MDG change request to "Change Material".  The material was discontinued by activating the "Discontinued Indicator" and also providing the "Follow Up" material.  Now business wants to remove the discontinued indicator and follow up material and make the original material active again.  But from MDG I am not able to remove the Discontinued Part from the MDG Change Request.  Please see attached screen shots. 

We are on ECC6.0 and Ehp 5.  I have checked the attributes but could not see any specific settings. 

 

Please advise.

Vendor Data Replication

Hello All,

 

Need help on Vendor Data Replication, We are creating Vendors in MDG for a entity (Ex AUS) and need to replicate Vendor data from MDG system (Hub) to Operational ERP (ECC) system.

Vendors for other entities (China & Argentina) are created in ECC system as of now and shall be done via MDG in later stage.

 

So while replicating Vendors from MDG to ECC (for Aus entity) how is key mapping done as Number ranges set based on Account Group and are generic, all entities use same number ranges intervals in ECC.

 

How to do key mapping for vendors between MDG & ECC.

[MDGM] How to display material code in mass material validation log?

We use the standard "File Upload" in MDGM menu for changing materials in one time.

When running validation before activation, some standard messages display to tell the error reason in the validation log.

But they do NOT tell which material code is wrong.

Is it possible to make these standard messages also tell the material code?

Enterprise search based on vendor number

Dear Experts,

 

The issue related to enterprise search based on vendor number.

 

We are able to get the Business partner number for vendor by using Enterprise search option (remove fuzzy tick) ,

 

But some vendors where we maintained the VAT number and Tax number values in vendor master data , Search functionality is not working and no Business partner shows in the results.

 

Please advise.

Issue in creation of MDG file Structure for CCTR/PCTR from File Download in MDG7.0 SP02

Hi

 

I am able to create MDG file structure for CCTR previously.But when I tried it today again it says 0 data records are transformed in step 5 of File Download linlk and in generated file structure there is no header line with MDG Technical fields. Same happens with PCTR.

Can any one explains reason for this?

Unable to download DDIC structure for Profit Center

Hi

 

I am unable to download DDIC structure for PC by using File Download Functationaliy. I want to intial PC data upload from ECC.

I can able to complete all steps but after excuting dounload it shows 0 records downloaded and after opening Display File Link not able to see header fields row

 

File shows like below

 

* Download

* Data Model: 0G

* Entity Type: PCTR

* Variant:

* User: SHAHSA

* Date: 20141208 / Time: 100320

* Selection:

* USMD_EDITION EQ | ED_PCUPD |

* Edition: ED_PCUPD

* Fields not in Governance Scope: USMD_ACTIONCODE, USMD_ENT_CHNG_BY, USMD_ENT_CHNG_AT, USMD_ENT_CRTD_BY, USMD_ENT_CRTD_AT

without header field row.

Is I missed something?

MDG M Search Material gives different results for different users

Hi MDG Experts,

 

We have configured MDG_MATERIAL and MATERIAL Connectors and search material or Material F4 is working fine.

However when using different users we see different search results. When I logged in as functional account search results seems to be drastically reduced and user unable to find the material that was just created.

If I logged as myself I see complete search result and I can find the material just created. 

 

I tried looking for any security authorization like USMD_AUTHORITY at modellor level in ESH_COCKPIT with no luck and also I have no clue on this. I searched in this forum but do not find any post identical to this issue.

 

Could you please help.? why we see different results for different users although connectors are configured correctly.

Who can configure this security or basis? or developers.

Data Model Enhancement - No added fields in Target Structure bus_ei_bupa_taxnumber

Hi MDG Experts,

 

My requirement is to Enhance MDG Vendor Data Model for by adding attributes(Fields) in BP_TAXNUM entity of BP Data Model.

 

I had added the fields in Include CI_EEW_BUT000  Fields are ZZTAXNUM1 ZZTAXNUM2 ZZTAXNUM3.

Added the fields in MDGIMG->Edit Data Model

In Generate Data Model Specific Structures->Generated the Structure.

In Extended Mappings->BP_BP_TAXNUM_2API->Transformations,

Target Structure->bus_ei_bupa_taxnumber does not contain the newly added fields

But Source Structure contains the new fields.So I'm not able to do SMTP Mapping.

 

If anybody come across this scenario? Kindly provide me your suggestions.

 

How to get the newly added fields in Target Structure "bus_ei_bupa_taxnumber"?

MDG-F 7.0 Between Change Request Approval and Data Replication

Hi everyone,

 

It seems to me that there is no any indication (i.e. a flag or a status code) in MDG-F as to whether a change request has been replicated or has not been replicated. suppose I wanted to make sure the replication function is performed to ALL open change requests, what else I can do from MDG-F perspective to ensure that at certain point of time, everything (open and approved change request) has gone through Replication function?

MDG-F Data replication for CCH using IDOC

Hi

 

In MDG-F we are able to create and activate CCH and active data in MDG area only.

As data replication shoud immediatlely happen into ECC (as we maintained in Edition) we maintained outbound implimation as 1112 ( Replication through IDOC) and assign to replication  model (In same replication Model we are able to replicate GL account and Cost Center as well)

But for Cost Center Hierarchy it is not working .

 

SLG1 logs says as per below

Here it says CCH uses SOA but we maintained IDOC,Is CCH replication is not possible through IDOC with message type COGRP1.

Secondally we maintained ZG replication model but it says DIRECTLY replication Model . Any Clue?

Hi evreyone,

 

I need to send an email to the requester of change request in SAP MDG F when the data replication of change request is successful. How can I capture the Change request status when the data replication is successful. Is there any way to identify the same. Please provide me the steps.

Check Function related BRF + rule not getting triggered

Hello Experts,

 

Will both BRF + Derivation Rules and Trigger Check Functions work simultaneously?  I have a requirement to trigger a warning message for a "Lot Size" attribute.  If Lot Size value is XX then system should trigger a warning message.  This lot size also has derivation rules. 

 

The Check Function is triggering the message in simulation but not in real time in the MDG CR.  Please advise if I am missing anything.  Please see below screen shots for the created trigger function.

Replace a UIBB with other UIBB for supplier UI in SAP MDG 7.0

Hi Experts,

 

Please help me resolve below mentioned issue regarding attributes on UIBB

 

The UI for company code has a UIBB for withholding tax data, with very limited fields .

 

Please refer to the below screenshot

Also,there exists another UIBB for withholding tax ( not part of company code UI), that has almost all the attributes as per our requirement.

 

Kindly refer to the below screenshot for the same:

Is there a possibility to replace the UIBB in company code UI with the above withholding tax UIBB?

Not able to see BRF+ Function

Hi,

 

In Validations & Derivations I have created a BRF+ function under "Check Entity" node and created rules and everything.

 

Now when I am going there again it is not showing me that function under that node and if I try to re create this function it gives error "Name already Used" this mean its there but not visible.

 

Anyone has faced this issue previously?

Turning off Automatic Replication

Hi All,

 

We have configured replication model to send data from MDG 7.0 hub to ECC and were controlling replication by manually replicating it everytime.

 

But now all of a sudden ,the data is getting replicated automatically as soon as we activate the Customers,Vendors and Materials.

 

I have even turned off the change pointers in BD61 and BD50.

 

We still have distribution model setup in BD64.

 

We would like to send data by replicating it manually instead of automatic replication . We are using ERP UI for customers (WS54400001) and vendors (WS54300005) and did not add any data replication step in the workflow.

 

Any reason why the data is replicated automatically as soon as it is approved , how do we turn this off ?

UI elements for same CR type different from Create scenario to Copy from template Scenario

Hi Experts ,

  I have added one standard attribute Pack code in the Component Configuration BS_MAT_OVP_O4 .

During Change Request CREATE scenario it is showing in the UI but if I use copy from template for the same CR type it is not showing that fields in the UI.

how to handle when uploading Same data from Two hetero genius systems into MDG hub.

Can you please suggest me how to handle when uploading Same data (same unique key) from Two hetero genius systems(Two Different ECC)  into MDG hub.

 

i heard a word  'Key/Value mapping'  in MDG. Whether it will helpful then How..? Please reply me .

Incorrect application is loaded from se80 - MDG - WDA - FPM

Hello Experts,

 

I am working with MDG-M. I am trying to test/execute an application configuration from se80 transaction in order to change the URL of the page (to add ?sap-config-mode=x), hence reach customizing mode and perform native webdynro configuration.

In order to do this, I select the required webdynpro application and application config in se80 transaction, then select 'webdynpro configuration'-->'test'

-->'execute'.

 

My problem is, that in this case a non-configured version of a differentwebdynproapplication gets loaded (I can tell it by right click-->context menu-->technical help).

 

Can anyone help in this matter?

P.S.: the page that supposed to be loaded is a navigation page, and users are directed to this page from an initial page. The application on the second screenshot above is the application of the initial page. It seems that the system couldn't find the configuration of the navigation page, and therefore, some "redirect" method occurs, which leads me to the application of the initial screen (without configuration)
