MDGA Article Master

Hi Experts,

 

I need some information regarding MDGA Article master. Did anyone implemented it yet. My client has an SAP IS Retail system and is interested to implement MDGA Article master for governance.

 

1) Is there any standard documentation available regarding MDG Article master.

2) What are the initial steps to implement MDGA.

3) Does it come as an optional MDG Package which is installed on top of IS Retails system. If yes, whats the package details.

4) If MDG is implemented in Hub mode what are the options to implement MDGA. How will it integrate with IS Retails system in Hub mode.

Hello,

    I am integrating MDG together with SLC and since the supplier was created in SLC  is quite logical dont create it again in MDG , I was wondering is there a way of creating a change request automatically  in MDG with this supplier ? .

Please guys share your thoughts with me  more than appreciated .

Trying to set the focus on a specific plant during create and maintain CR's

HI,  I'm hoping someone can tell me if the following is possible, and if so, how it might be achieved?

 

We have a list of plants that are derived based on the Material type, I would like the plant that is in focus to be plant 1400,

 

If we use plant 1400 as the plant on the initial screen, it will be added first and then plant 1100, 1200, 1300 and 1600 come after it, so this works fine (for create), problem is that we are also using MDG for IBAUs which do not have plants, so setting a plant on the initial UI causes a problem.

 

We have a Badi that will derive the plants based on the material type, but they end up coming back sorted, so plant 1100 is in focus.

 

The maintain change request has the same issue, in that when the plant table is presented, it is presented in alphabetical order with 1100 as the plant in focus.

 

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the focus on plant 1400 (if it exists) on the initial display of the UI? and how this may be achieved?

MDG 8.0 Change Request Create for Custom Data Model

Hi Experts,

 

I´m creating a new change request for a new custom data model an I´m facing some problems/doubts.

So, basically I have created my data model, my new UIBB based on USMD_OVP_GEN and my change request and I think that could be something missing because when I start the application USMD_CREQUEST_CREATE to create a new CR I´m not getting my new UIBB screen that I was expecting in step 3 ( change data).

 

 

The application is just selecting the entities that I want to change but is not calling the custom screen to submit the changes.

 

Calling directly the new configuration the CR is working fine

 

Please find the screens with the steps in the attached file.

 

 

Could be any customization missing?

Company code and Purchasing org attributes in search

Hello,

 

When I am trying to add the additional fields which are at Company code and purchasing organization level, it does not show up in HANA search view in SAP MDG UI

 

MDG_HDB_GEN_UI

 

And after checking the required field I am generating the search view

 

 

In addition only the attributes in general view are getting pulled on to the UI

Error in configuration of SAP logon tickets

Upon trying to execute NWBC from SAP MDG IMG I got the following error.

 

"Error in configuration of SAP logon tickets"

Vendor Data Replication

Hello All,

 

Need help on Vendor Data Replication, We are creating Vendors in MDG for a entity (Ex AUS) and need to replicate Vendor data from MDG system (Hub) to Operational ERP (ECC) system.

Vendors for other entities (China & Argentina) are created in ECC system as of now and shall be done via MDG in later stage.

 

So while replicating Vendors from MDG to ECC (for Aus entity) how is key mapping done as Number ranges set based on Account Group and are generic, all entities use same number ranges intervals in ECC.

 

How to do key mapping for vendors between MDG & ECC.

Checking CR for Data Changes

Hello Experts,

 

We have a requirement where we need to verify that requester has changed at least one Data field in the CR before submitting it. Basically the requirement is to compare CR Data with Reuse area data & stop the requester from submitting the CR if there is no Data change.

 

In our scenario, we are deciding the next processor based on Data that is changed in the CR. So currently, if requester submits the CR without making any changes to Data, workflow gets lost because it not able to determine the next processor.

 

Any clues how can we achieve this ?

Read CR_Type in BADI USMD_RULE_SERVICE

Hello MDG experts,

 

How can we read CR Type from CR Data in BADI USMD_RULE_SERVICE. The requirement is that certain checks should only be executed for specifc CR Types. How can I see that ongoing CR if of what CR Type ?

 

Also, I need to know if some how I can read the CR Step number from CR Data in BADI USMD_RULE_SERVICE because some of my checks should run only for certain steps.

MDG-M : Blank Description issue

Dear MDG Flocks,

 

we are using MDG-M 7.0 and  facing issue with blank row at Material description UI. where we are creating new material a black row is getting created at Material Description UI.

 

Is this standard error, any note ?

MDG: DQM: Address validation not working for Customer

Hi experts,

We have DQM activated in the system, address validation is working for Supplier and we are able to view Address Suggestion list for Supplier.

But address validation is not working for Customer, duplicate check is working for Customer.

Address_Check Badi is implemented,are we missing some implementation for Customer?

We are using BUPA_INBOUND_REL_SAVE_M message type, IDOC posted successfully with status 53 but BUT050 table is not updated.

Please advice why the BUT050 updation is not happening.

No Object keys found for data replication

Hello Experts,

 

We are trying to set the replication from MDG to ECC which are the same logical systems.

When we execute the Data Replication we are getting the error "No Object keys found for data replication".

 

Where am I supposed to define the Object Keys for the message types?

Hello All,

 

I am trying to extend  Z Entity with new attributes for QM fields and after extending I am activating data model, and generating structures.

I did below steps

1) Activate data model

But new attributes not coming in Active data model

2) Generate structures

No change in Structure.

 

Please suggest I am new to MDG.
