We have implemented MDG-F with for GL and Cost Centers using ALE method.
Now, we want to implement Cost Center Hierarchy as well.
Is it ideal to use SOA for Cost Center Hierarchy at this stage when already ALE is in place for other objects as stated above?
Another question: if we decide to use ALE for Cost Center Hierarchy, then is it true that we will always have to upload the whole Hierarchy even if one node needs to be added to an existing hierarchy? I have read a lot of posts on this forum about issues with using ALE for Cost Center Hierarchy - so I wish to understand the cons here.

I`m a little bit confused regarding MDG and MDM, how much difference between them? Especially when SAP talks about Central Finance, MDG has been mentioned as the master data mapping and distributing tool, but can we use replace it with MDM in Central Finance deployment scenario?

we are using MDG-M 7.0 and facing issue with blank row at Material description UI. where we are creating new material a black row is getting created at Material Description UI.
Is this standard error, any note ?

Hi everybody,
I implemented a pop up to fill some data, like material-type and plant.
This pop up shows up after the initial screen of MDG-M. The entered data is then stored via WRITE_ENTITY_DATA of convenience-API.
Unfortunately the popup-entered data is not directly visible in the following BS_MAT_OVP_05 screen.
It only gets visible after some action, e.g. checking the data or inserting some values in other fields.
Does anybody have an idea/hint what causes this problem?

We're implementing MDG-M and we have some fairly long and complicated processes.
There is a requirement now to save some data from an MDG CR down to SAP ECC database tables mid process and without closing the CR.
Is there any standard method/ way that I could save data from staging tables to ECC and still allow the CR to continue to the next step?

I am having one issue that when the CR is getting final checked approved, the idocs are failing at ECC end with the error as "Account <account_number> is currently blocked by user RFC <username maintained at MDG Hub system>.
Strangely this error doesn't come every time, but like 4-5 out of 10, so not sure how to debug this issue.
Note:- This is not only happening with the MDG workflow but also happening when I even tried to manually processed the vendor from BD14.
Could anyone please provide any help/inputs.

Activating a custom data model - Reuse mode, throws up a error stating " Table /1MD/MD______04A (Error adjusting the database)"
So i Followed by adjusting the database using (tcode se11), adjust and activated the database. This throws up warning that index id 01 could not be created in the database. although index exists for the table. The index shows up as activated but a warning 'Doesnt not exist in the database.'

Could you please help here understand that is this possible if we can have two different SAP MDG instance on one server and both of these instance are connected with differently running SAP ERP systems at different geographies.This depicts within Hub based approach.
If possible could there be any drawbacks to this approach.

I have a Scenario for MDG 2 client Approach,
Scenario 1. Currently Client are using MDG 7.0 version of Oracle Data base.
Scenario 2 : Now my client would upgrade with MDG 8.0 with S/4HANA of Central finance(Simple Finance).
My question is....
1. If use the same client approach (Existing MDG 7.0) for upgrade from Oracle DB to S/4HANA with MDG 8.0, then what is the Pros and Cons.
2. If Client will go with New Client Approach (MDG 8.0 - S/4HANA), then we will review the Landscape design of AS-IS and TO-BE. Then what is the pros and Cons.
Please provide the best practice on Landscape design as well as..

Hi,
I am trying to create a sample rule based workflow consisting just 2 steps for MDG Finance creating a cost center. I am just trying to achieve first step..i,.e Requestor transitioning to approver stage. I tried to search in SCN but could not find any resolution to such issue.
When I configure like in below screens, workflow unable to find the agent I configured to did not go to approver step. I am not thinking yet about approving from approver step. Just initial transition from requestor to approver. I checked WF-BATCH authorization and assigned xxx86 workflow to it also added CR steps. Please see below screens and suggest what else is missing.
and nothing in non user agent table..just empty as I just started configuring first step and hoping to go to approver step once my workflow finds the agent.
Anything is not correct here..?

Hi all,
I am working on a requirement and business wants to create New international address version through mass update process (file download & file upload).
I have 2 questions here:
1. Which entity can be used to create new international address version(i suppose 'name of person' not sure though as it does not contain all fields of international version data) but it contains name and search term1 that is mandatory to create international address?
2. When i am trying to download file for entity 'name of person', after execution no rows are getting transferred in file. I tried it using different customers, but it seems that entity is not working properly. Please advise if this is due to some configuration missing in MDG.

If having different tables then provide those details and how we will do the Mapping of MDG to Central finance?
As per my understanding, there is a different tables available in the Central finance...
