MDG data import for BP / customers

Hi

 

In MDG 6.1 I am trying to load customers using Import Master data. As I need some XML file as input, before using import master data, I used Export master data and downloaded one customer/BP record. Then I removed customer number, UUID, ID etc., and uploaded xml file into UNIX directory (because of BP/customer is internal number range and assumed system will create it automatically). I have set in xml file, action_code to 1, thinking it is for 'create'.

 

I selected below options in import master data :

 

Object type : BP

Governance : yes (want to create data in staging area first).

change request type : ZBPLP1 (copied it from BPLP1).

 

System issuing messages as below :

 

ID and UUID of the business partner are missing

Error on call-up of transformation method MAP_BP_ID_IN of class CL_MDG_FND_SMT_TRANSFORMATION

Error for mapping BPBUPA_RPLRQ_BSFND_IN step BUSINESSPARTNER


I didn't change anything in smt BPBUPA_RPLRQ_BSFND_IN. Also didn't change anything in SOA message type BusinessPartnerSUITEBulkReplicateRequest.


Can someone please advise? Is there any wrong in XML file input? How to build XML file initial mass upload.

Hello ,

When I open the app  I get my main menu

However  When I click on search supplier for example I am not able to come back to the previous menu , there is not back button or home  , what  I am missing ? a role  ?

Hi,

 

How do we easily find out whether a material is replicated to ECC transactional system from MDG HUb?

 

Do we have to write any custom function to go and check ECC transactional system?

Hide Material UIBB-Buttons programmatically via AppCC

I want to get rid of the single UIBB Edit Buttons programmatically by enhancing the Application Component Controller (AppCC) Class.

 

Regarding my discussion Hide Material UIBB's programmatically (material UI AppCC)

I've  already an object reference to the IF_FPM_OVP interface, which offers a couple of methods to influence the Component Configuration  BS_MAT_OVP_LAYOUT_03 at runtime.

 

The GET_UIBBS method provide a list of all UIBB's with its attributes.

But the GET_TOOLBAR_ELEMENTS method provide a list of only 5 toolbar elements which seems to be only the elements of the CR header.

I cannot find a method to get the toolbar elements of a certain UIBB.

 

For instance the plant list UIBB: MDG_BS_MAT_PLANT_LIST_ATS

The toolbar schema contains 1 toolbar element: MDG_EDIT_PLANTS

 

How to get a reference to this element?

What would be the appropriate CHANGE-method to change its attributes like the visibility?

SAP MDG Hub Deployment

Hi,

 

My Client is basically  an SAP Shop with only SAP Systems. They have decided to go for MDG 8.0 and want to deploy Hub model for MDG.

 

Their Current version of SAP ECC is Ehp5 SP10. If it was co-deployment then they have to upgrade the ECC to Ehp 6 or Ehp 7 of  SAP ERP 6.0.

 

Whereas in this case of Hub deployment still they have to upgrade their Ehp version?

 

As far as I remember MDG is deployed on an ECC(Vanilla Version), but the ECC will be non operational in case of Hub mode. If so what should be the version of the underlying ECC on which MDG 8.0 will be installed as Hub.

Search

Zfield/Custom field text issue

Dear Experts,

 

facing issue with custom field description. We have created couple of custom field and showing key and key-description next to that .

Issue is when I press F4, key description is not automatically copied to key-description field, I need to press enter or perform some action .

 

Same is working at Standard field, when I select any field from F4 key and description automatic copied .

 

Any catch why this is happening ?

MDG- M search issue

Hi,

 

In our system, I am not able to search all the materials which are active. Search only shows materials under CR. However, it shows all the active materials for another user in my team. Please help. Also, the screen is customized, so we don't have standard check box for showing active materials on the MDG-UI screen.

MDG BUPA Genil model Enhancement

Created an Z enhancement to the BUPA Genil model to add some fields which are not there on the BP data model following the document "Enhancement of the User Interface Building Block for Change Request". Added those fields on the UIBB but they are still in read only mode. Any suggestions what can be wrong??

File import is failing

Hi All,

 

I am trying to import and .XML file(with one BP) stored in my desktop

 

1.I extracted one BP with customer in XML file by using the file export application of older version.

2.I edited the name value in the xml and also changed the actioncode to '2' and saved it in desktop.

3.I imported this XML file using the Ehp5 file import application MDG_FILE_UPLOAD_CMP. while importing I selected option 2 to load directly into active area. Now after the load I see that in the log it showing the error message

'

 

Task Insert is not supported for the existing customer'

Search ERP vendor in MDGS also displaying customers

Hi All,

 

We have Customer and Vendor implemented in our MDG box. Intially, it was only Vendor and there was no issue.

 

But now, once we also implemented Customer - we see that the Search ERP Vendor in NWBC returns an entire list of related Vendors + Customers, not exclusively Vendors.

 

This happens for Search ERP Customer as well -returns entire list of Vendors and Customers though the search was intended only for customers.

 

We already have enhanced the standard class CL_USMD_SEARCH_DATA_DB to filter the search results based on some custom roles, but not able to find any parameter to differentiate if the search was initiated for a vendor or a customer.

 

If anybody has faced this earlier, please provide inputs if there is any way we can differentiate (or) any other way the searches can be made mutually exclusive.

 

We are using MDG 7.0.

Search ERP Customer or Vendor-MDG

Hi Experts,

 

On Search ERP Customer or   Search ERP vendor while initial loading the screen I want to default the value with BP ROLE instead of ADDRESS DATA without removing other functionality.

 

I am able to  set the BP ROLE while initial load  by hard coding the search control value in FILL_METHOD_DROPDOWN of CL_MDG_BS_SEARCH_SWITCH_FEEDER class    but the  functionality missing 

 

 

How to achieve this please suggest.

Hey all, Hey Gurus,

 

I am currently trying to create a Change Request for Vendor/Supplier Creation in SAP MDG. I have activated the Service and can test in SOAMANAGER and SE80. Until, I could not find any documentation or a sample request.

 

Can anyone please help me by provding a sample request or any Kind of documentation on this?

MDG-M - Modifying Available Values in Mass change/Multiple Processing

Hi,

 

We are going to implement and provide the Mass Change/Multiple processing functionality to certain users.

 

However, there are certain sensitive fields that we do not want to ever be included in a Mass change CR, so my question is:

 

How can I restrict the available values in Mass change and File Upload process?

 

I'll use the field 'Brand' as an example in the below screenshots. If Brand was a sensitive field how can I stop it showing up in the below lists?

Issue with Configure Rule-Based Workflow Flex Mode

Hi, I created a Data model in flex mode and activated it..also i completed Business activiteis and change request type configuration... when i execute MDGIMG step configure Rule-Based Workflow and select select change request type and click on continue its giving below the error. Let me know how to fix this. Thanks, KP.
