For some reason I don't know when I try to change my supplier I get the following error ,
I have created a change request for change and assign the business activity ( SUP2 ) but still get the error , what I am missing ?
Also I dont see the changing button in the following menu , maybe is because is for the same reason.

I need some information regarding MDGA Article master. Did anyone implemented it yet. My client has an SAP IS Retail system and is interested to implement MDGA Article master for governance.
1) Is there any standard documentation available regarding MDG Article master.
2) What are the initial steps to implement MDGA.
3) Does it come as an optional MDG Package which is installed on top of IS Retails system. If yes, whats the package details.
4) If MDG is implemented in Hub mode what are the options to implement MDGA. How will it integrate with IS Retails system in Hub mode.

I am working on MDG 6.1 and we have a Portal and not using NWBC . IN our Development system while creating a customer master we are receiving Error to maintain Search term 1 field which never used to be mandatory and ECC still is not asking this field to be filled in .
Would you know what might have caused this error ?

I have a requirement where the bulk data will be created through data import framework.
Now customer wants some fields to be populated through derivation.
Now question is when this derivation is triggered:
During import process before CR is generated or after the CR is generated,during finalize processing step.
Also want to know about BRF+ validations when it will be triggered and if the record fails how the user will correct it.

Scenario is mapping SAP Customer Code with External Account Code in a Z table.
I will copy the development then I will extend to an other Z table , I will be mapping SAP customer code with External ZZ Code
I have done all configs MDGIMG , there was a data model ZX mine is ZY.

When I change USMD_OTC from ZX_OTC to ZY_OTC, the button gets enable.

Hi Experts,
We have enabled the Vendor Like UI in MDG 7.0 per documentation we have also maintained the CVI mapping from BP --> Vendor and defined account groups.
Per my understanding the Vendor like UI should automatically read the fieldgrouping config from the ECC side (T077K in case of Vendors) for checking required / optional fields and automatically validate, however this is not the behavior we see.
Do we have to do config on the BP side for role FLVN01 for validations to work ? Also since we have multiple account groups with different number of required fields & only 1 BP role (FLVN01) how will field validations work via config ?
We want to avoid custom validation logic.

I've already an object reference to the IF_FPM_OVP interface, which offers a couple of methods to influence the Component Configuration BS_MAT_OVP_LAYOUT_03 at runtime.
The GET_UIBBS method provide a list of all UIBB's with its attributes.
But the GET_TOOLBAR_ELEMENTS method provide a list of only 5 toolbar elements which seems to be only the elements of the CR header.
I cannot find a method to get the toolbar elements of a certain UIBB.
For instance the plant list UIBB: MDG_BS_MAT_PLANT_LIST_ATS
The toolbar schema contains 1 toolbar element: MDG_EDIT_PLANTS
How to get a reference to this element?
What would be the appropriate CHANGE-method to change its attributes like the visibility?

What sort of materials master would you create for a company that procures millions of non-standard products? Surely, Millions of materials cannot be created because the materials being procured would be of a huge variety and usually not standard. For instance, procurement in an EPC Oil & Gas organization a lot of times consists of procuring specific custom made (fabricated) items. Hence, specific materials that comprise the fabricated item would need to be procured and this always varies.
I know material categories can be created but for the material numbers, How would one configure a materials master list for this? or is it necessary to have one at all?

I have one question regarding search.
For reuse data models like MM and BP (C/S) it we integrated with TREX then backend date from active area (MARA,LFA1 and KNA1) are appeared during MDG search in search result area even though data does not exists in staging area in case of ES search method.
But in my case as my primary data base is HANA can I use DB search method instead of HA? Is TREX integration is still necessary for MDGS when my primary DB is HANA?
Dear all,
we are discussing about the impact on current MDG implementations of S4/HANA deployment. Our landscape right now includes MDG-F objects on SAP ECC but in the mid term we will migrate to "Simple Finance", then our main concern is the adaptation activities to be performed in MDG to accommodate to S4/HANA. Is anyone aware of the best practices/guidelines to perform this migration?, or has anyone made an impact assessment about this deployment? Effort, tasks, difficulty?

In BUBA the Time constraint is '2' and cardinality is 1:1 still, on file upload when trying to add relationship we are getting error 'Maximum no. of relationship set exceeded'.
Why it is not delimiting the old relationship automatically and create a new one.

In debug mode email notification generates properly with correct subject line and body, but while trying to create ----> approver---> send for revised --> then again requester (resubmit)--> approved (approver), after completion of this cycle, then email notification generates but subject line and some of the lines in body are missing.

I was wondering what is the real purpose of defining an internal key like this :
Data Model = BP, Entity Type = ADDRNO => Prefix $ (where ADDRNO is the address number)
Data Model = BP, Entity Type = BP_HEADER => Prefix $ (where BP_HEADER is the customer number)
( I have extracted this from Activation of the Business Partner (BP) Data Model - Master Data Governance for Customer - SAP Library )
I could understand I add a prefix for the temporary BP I am creating that way I know it is temporary , but why involve the entity ADDRNO , I saw in table USMD1213 an entry for every object is created , thank you for sharing your thoughts.
