Extract PC/CC/CE Hierarchy from ECC

Hi,

 

This is regarding the Finance Hierarchy extraction from ECC. I have checked the following link

http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-50178

 

and also the note 1573223.

 

In ECC, while executing "KBAS_MDGF_SET_DOWNLOAD", for PC Group (0106) under 'Set Name' there are more than 50 entrees. For

each 'Set Name' I need to download the 3 files (in this case this will generate 150 files considering 3 files for each 'Set Name') and to load do I need to create 150 CR's in MDG? Is there any other way to do this process both in ECC and MDG?

SAP BOM master data maintainance

Hi Experts,

For BOM master data maintainance is MDG custom object implementation is a good option or to go for plm functionality is better option ?

If someone have implementated PLM already is there any need to implement SAP MDG custom object for SAP BOM ?

Please suggest.

Search ERP vendor in MDGS also displaying customers

Hi All,

 

We have Customer and Vendor implemented in our MDG box. Intially, it was only Vendor and there was no issue.

 

But now, once we also implemented Customer - we see that the Search ERP Vendor in NWBC returns an entire list of related Vendors + Customers, not exclusively Vendors.

 

This happens for Search ERP Customer as well -returns entire list of Vendors and Customers though the search was intended only for customers.

 

We already have enhanced the standard class CL_USMD_SEARCH_DATA_DB to filter the search results based on some custom roles, but not able to find any parameter to differentiate if the search was initiated for a vendor or a customer.

 

If anybody has faced this earlier, please provide inputs if there is any way we can differentiate (or) any other way the searches can be made mutually exclusive.

 

We are using MDG 7.0.

FLVN01 doesnt exist in target system

Hello ,

guys I am trying to replicate a vendor and the role I use FLVN01 ( which I presume comes from the BC sets  ) doesn't exist in my target  , how could I create that in the target taking into consideration that is a standard namespace role. thanks for you opinions.

Configuring the Generic Search for multiple Business Objects

Hi,

 

beeing quite new to SAP MDG I'm evaluating the possibilities of the MDG Generic Search.

 

What I would like to do is to implement a search involving multiple custom objects in a sense of joining. I.e. we have a data model consisting of multiple object types with arbitrarily relations and cardinalities and the search (and the result list) must look into more than one table to find the wanted results.

 

I have read the related documentation under Configuring the Generic Search for a Particular Business Object - SAP Master Data Governance - SAP Library and I was able to set up a search for one of my entities. But now I'm wondering how to implement this for multiple objects without violating any standards. (Maybe I have to mention that I'm quite new in the SAP world overall :-)).

 

Is there an additional guide that I have overlooked?

 

The parent chapter Configuration of the Generic Search - SAP Master Data Governance - SAP Library suggests, that there is also a predefined search not only for a particular BO but also for an entire model or above. But I still have not found how to start it (or a sample) for further studies.

 

So at the moment the only idea I have is to implement a custom feeder class (inheriting CL_USMD_SEARCH_GUIBB_DQUERY) and override the concerned methods. But I'm not sure whether this is a legal way.

 

The alternative I see is to develop a completely new and custom Search UI but of course I do not want to "reinvent the wheel" ...

 

Does anyone know / can someone tell me what's the right way to implement the above mentioned search in MDG?

At the moment we are working with the Standard DB Seach but this will change in the future. Will the same concepts also be valid with Embedded or Enterprise Search?

Get UIBB Config-ID in CL_MDG_BS_MAT_FEEDER_LIST_BASE GET_DATA()

We want to set the visibility of the toolbar elements of the UIBB MDG_BS_MAT_PLANT_LIST_ATS UIBB at runtime.

The thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3607766 provides a couple of good information how to do to that.

 

 

The problem we still have is to set a good if-condition to hit the appropriate point of time.

The method IF_FPM_GUIBB_LIST~GET_DATA() in the implementing class /PLMU/CL_FRW_G_FEEDER_LIST is passed a couple of times when opening the material master UI. We do not want to run our enhancement 20 times or more.

 

When debugging the method the ME-Object provides an attribute MS_UIBB_INSTANCE_KEY with the field CONFIG_ID which contains the ID of the UIBB we want to enhance.

 

But the line of code: "IF me->ms_uibb_instance_key-config_id = 'MDG_BS_MAT_...' throws an syntay error.

Probably because the attribute MS_UIBB_INSTANCE_KEY of the class /PLMU/CL_FRW_G_FEEDER is protected.

 

Any idea how to get the MS_UIBB_INSTANCE_KEY attribute or how to get the Config-ID of the current UIBB else?

Change Request Lock

Hello,

 

We have developed a custom equipment data model and have configured rule based WF and implemented access class methods SAVE, QUERY.

 

Now, when we try to create an equipment, WF gets stuck at all steps which require CR modification (eg: Changing CR Status) with message "Change Request is locked by user XXX"


The user in the above message is the one who has last processed the CR (eg: Requester, Approver)

 

If we manually remove the lock using SM12 and reprocess the work item, WF moves ahead without problems. Also, even in standard data models like MM, BP we notice that a lock entry is created in SM12 but it doesn't cause problems in WF.

 

Can someone please guide as to what needs to be done additionally to ensure these CR lock entries do not cause problems in WF processing?

Re-ordering UIBBs

  Hi,

 

I would like to re-order the UIBBs. I know users can personalize the UI by reordering the UIBBs but the customer would like to reorder the UIBB e.g. move up Plant-specifc UIBB,move down less used UIBB e.g.  GTIN/EAN. We want to do this for all user. Is this possible to do with customizing or must i do it some other way?

MDG BUPA Genil model Enhancement

Created an Z enhancement to the BUPA Genil model to add some fields which are not there on the BP data model following the document "Enhancement of the User Interface Building Block for Change Request". Added those fields on the UIBB but they are still in read only mode. Any suggestions what can be wrong??

MDG Workflow approvers based on Customer/Vendor/Material views

Hello Experts,

 

We want to assign different approvers based on different views in the CR for materials,customers and vendors .How do we do that.

 

For example when we create CR for customers/vendors with purchasing view and company code view , we want their respective departments to maintain and approve it.

Customers/Vendors:

Purchasing view - Sales team .

Company code view - Finance team

 

Material:

Sales view - Sales team

MRP view - Planning team

Plant Data view - Purchasing team

Accounting view - Finance team

 

The standard workflow (ex: WS86) in BRF+ , has steps for maintenance,approval,revision... , But can I add filters based on the views . I know we can add filters based on the UI field values.

 

Any inputs greatly appreciated.Thanks.

Attribute check table error

Hi,

 

We have added a few attributes to a custom data model and some of them contain data elements which have check tables with more than one key field.

This is resulting in an error during data model save. As a workaround, we tried to create this attribute as an SU type 3 but due to this our BRF+ validations stopped working for some reason and we have to revert back to using an attribute.

Can someone please help us figure out how we can handle these attributes in the data model?

Problem during modification

Hello,

 

We have created a custom data model and configured a search screen for the entity. Now, when we search for a particular record and click on the link to modify it, nothing is happening. We expect another window to open for modification. The action on the link is set to link to action and all customisation for modification such as CR, Business Activity, Action are in place.

Can someone suggest what needs to be done to get the link working as expected?

In debug mode Email Notification's contents are properly in MDG contents subject line and some line of Body missing

Hi Techies,

 

In debug mode email notification generates properly with correct subject line and body, but while trying to create ----> approver---> send for revised --> then again requester (resubmit)--> approved (approver), after completion of this cycle,  then email notification generates but subject line and some of the lines in body are missing.

 

Please help out with suggestion.

I know there are some other discussion regarding this subject but mine , I think , it is a little bit different , I am configurating HANA BASED SEARCH and I am quite sure everything is properly set for it, however I continue receiving this error.  the search method is not even listed :

MDG-F 8.0 Data replication using SOA in the backend ECC system

Hi Experts,

 

I am configuring the MDG-F 8.0  and I am facing some issues in configuring the SOA based replication model. I followed the SAP configuration guide instructions during this process.  But still getting some different errors. Do any one have any step by step process for this configuration for any of the Finance objects ?  What I am doing is in a HUB model MDG-F setup after the data activation using the SOA the data need to be replicated in the backend  ECC system.

MDG- M search issue

Hi,

 

In our system, I am not able to search all the materials which are active. Search only shows materials under CR. However, it shows all the active materials for another user in my team. Please help. Also, the screen is customized, so we don't have standard check box for showing active materials on the MDG-UI screen.

MDG - Free Text Search

Dear Experts,

 

We are suddenly facing an issue on our search screen. There was a free text search text box to search supplier/vendor but now it is not showing on the screen. When we check on the screen customization, we find the below error:

 

 

FREE_TEXT_SEARCH: the field FREE_TEXT_SEARCH is not in the feeder catalog

 

This free text search text box was there from the standard solution. Please help.

Zfield/Custom field text issue

Dear Experts,

 

facing issue with custom field description. We have created couple of custom field and showing key and key-description next to that .

Issue is when I press F4, key description is not automatically copied to key-description field, I need to press enter or perform some action .

 

Same is working at Standard field, when I select any field from F4 key and description automatic copied .

 

Any catch why this is happening ?
